I woke up to a ground blanketed in snow on Thursday morning. In the early morning hours, the soft white portions, untouched yet by footprints or tire tracks, were beautiful.
However, it was not quite so beautiful as I heaved over three inches off my windshield or trekked through the mucky brown slush on my way into the library.
The snow continued to fall throughout most of the day and into the night. In all over a foot of snow. It was a record snow fall for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. By noon, as the snow mounted, work and school were closed, so I spent the afternoon snapping pictures of the white wonderland and then, when my fingers were so cold that they were actually numb, curled up under a throw on my couch watching movies.
